Erosion and Sediment Control Performance Security
The City requires an escrow deposit to secure performance of erosion and sediment control (ESC) requirements, including proper
Installation and maintenance. The security shall pay for any City costs or expenses to bring the site Into compliance with the
stormwater management permit, Including any engineering, legal, or administrative expenses; inspections; and necessary work by
City contractor(s). The City may extract from the security escrow. The escrow deposit will be released only upon Inspection and
written notice of conformance by the City.
The following escrow deposits include two (2) required City inspections, initial and final.
Existing Single -Family Residential Lot (addition, demolition, pool, retaining wall, etc.) $1,300/lot
New Single -Family Construction $3,900/lot
Mufti-Family or Commercial Construction (new, addition, demolition) $6,500/acre*
*Maximum of $15,600
Erosion and Sediment Control Reinspection Fee (for as needed City reinspection after the two (2) included) $85/trip

The applicant assumes all responsibilities for installation and maintenance of pollution prevention practices on this site
Any violations of City Code identified by the City shall be addressed within 48 -hours of service of the notification.
The applicant understands that failure to maintain pollution prevention practices within the time allotted by the City
notification, will result in enforcement action to correct site deficiencies that are in violation of Sec. 4.34.
The issuance of this permit constitutes a right -of -entry of the City or its contractors to enter upon the construction site for

Yeah, during the final review there appeared to be a discrepancy with the total area to be disturbed in the plans (1.32
acres) and what was proposed on the application (1.69 acres).
- (1.32 acres x $6,500/ acre= $8,580)
- (1.69 acres x $6,500/ acre= $10,985)
We can go with what was originally requested ($8,580) but they will need to limit their disturbance to what is the plans.

I have attached the Stormwater Mngt Permit that was signed which shows the total of $10,985, which I was provided
with when the building permit was approved. The internal plan review memo also states that the fee is $10,985.
However, Brad is stating the amount he was told is $8500 (per the email below). I have attached an email from 3/23/23
which you had stated the fee was going to be $8580.
Could you please verify what the correct amount owed for the Stormwater Management Permit is? And if it is going to
be lower, could you please provide this in written documentation so we have a history of why the fee changed?

I am a little confused, as you noted below the 1 doc is a SMP but on the invoice you have a erosion & sediment control
deposit.
I was told when I submitted the stormwater management permit I would need a check for $8,500 which I have in hand,
so is the erosion/sediment deposit in addition to the SMP?
