Chicken wire and welded wire will be used in conjunction to keep the chickens in, and predators out.The top of the run will not be roofed, but will have fencing and netting. it will be presloped in case a roof is added at a later time.The chicken coop will be positioned to the east of the chicken run,as shown in drawing. In a previous(Fall 2022) chicken permit request,which could not be completed in time,a plan based around a 10x12 metal shed was used.This shed was constructed but the snow load from this past winter collapsed it. I am still in the process of removing it, but it is not going to be replaced. Its location was outside the fenced yard, and it does not impact the construction of the coop or run.
