Commission Members present included Member Rotty, Member McWilliams, Member Klein, Member Hamlin, Member Demartelaere, Member Costain, Member Palmer and Member Hassen. Staff members present was Recreation Manager Tanya Mozingo, Recreation Supervisor Holly Champlin, Recreation Supervisor Julie Andersen, Parks Superintendent Chris Fleck and Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation Jared Flewellen. , -, APPROVALOFAGENDA, Member Klein asked if there were any changes to the agenda. Assistant Director Flewellen stated there were none. Member Palmer moved, Member Hamlin seconded, with all present members voting in favor to adopt the agenda. Aye: 7 Nay: 0 APPROVALOF MEETING MINUTEST Member Demartelaere moved to approve the minutes from October 16, 2023 workshop, Member Rotty seconded, with all present members voting in favor to adopt the amended minutes. Aye: 7 Nay: VISITORS TO BE HEARD Dan Sagstetter— Eagan Athletic Association — Interested in creating a closer relationship to the Advisory Parks and Recreation Commission. PRESENTATION Recreation Division Advisory Parks and Recreation Commission November 20, 2023 Page 2 Recreation Division team members Tanya Mozingo, Holly Champlin and Julie Andersen presented information and highlights from the City of Eagan Recreation Division. The Recreation Division oversees the activities and special events, athletics, preschool, athletic facility rentals, the Eagan Art House and camps. OLD BUSINESS Recreation Facilities and Projects Update Parks Superintendent presented the current status of the Recreational Facilities Plan in progress, as well as, the communication plan associated with them. The update included a recap of the last couple months recent activities regarding the projects as well as a forecasted timeline moving forward. The projects discussed were a covering/roof for the refrigerated rink at Goat Hill Park, the Eagan Art House reconstruction project, and the reinvestment project at ECG NEW BUSINESS 2024 Fees Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Jared Flewellen presented fees for 2024. Fees presented included were parks and trail dedication, pavilion rentals, athletic facilities, ROUNDTABLE Member McWilliams — Visited Richfield bike park and thought it was well laid out Member Hassen — Expressed gratitude for caring individuals Member Klein — Excited for the new Art House and the Fall Art Sale was enjoyable. Member Rotty— Attended the Halloween Trail walk and had positive reviews. DEPARTMENT UPDATES Advisory Parks and Recreation Commission November 20, 2023 Page 3 Assistant Director Flewellen presented highlights from recent and upcoming activities in the Eagan Parks and Recreation Department. ADJOURNMENT After further brief discussion, Member Hamlin moved, Member McWilliams seconded with all members present voting in favor to adjourn the meeting.
