A workshop meeting of the Advisory Parks & Recreation Commission (APrC) began at 6:00
p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022. Commission Members present included Member
Palmer, Member McWilliams, Member Klein, Member Moore, Member Hough, Member Pagey,
Member Rayman and Member Schuetzle. Staff members present Parks and Recreation
Director Andrew Pimental, Parks Superintendent Chris Fleck, Recreation Manager Tanya
Fleck and Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Jared Flewellen.
WARKSHOP'DISCUSSIdN
A. Recreation Facilities update — Chris Fleck, Parks Superintendent
i. History of study
1. Discussed the 2018 Recreation Facilities Plan to provide history of
the plan.
ii. Moving forward with City Council
1. Discussed the next steps of the plan being updated currently.
iii. Anticipated timelines
1. Next meeting will be in January 2023.
B. ARPA Funding support for Recreation Facilities — Andrew Pimental, Director of
Parks and Recreation
i. Economic and Services study for ECC
1. Discussed current funding and future planning of funds related to
the Eagan Community Center.
ii. Master Planning begins in 2023
1. Discussed upcoming opportunities for planning in 2023.
C. Public Art in the Parks Update — Tanya Mozingo, Recreation Manager

i. Norse Park public art selection process
1. Discussed the process and recommendation for the installation of
the piece for Norse Park.
2. Discussed the HeArt of Eagan piece to be installed at Eagan Civic
