2409-00608-SI and 2409-00606-SI 855 Vikings Pkwy Suite BPermit s #2409-00608-SI and #2409-00606-SI were approved with a sign plan showing sign
copy that reads “Viking Lakes Eye Care” on September 25, 2024.
On a routine follow-up inspection to close the open sign permits, staff discovered that the
sign copy affixed to the building reads “Blue Lakes Eye Care”.
The change in verbiage is likely due to an issue over the use of the words “Viking Lakes”
given the applicant is unaffiliated with and is not located on the Viking Lakes campus.
Given the overall sign area hasn’t changed and the materials and construction of the sign
hasn’t changed, staff will approve this sign without requiring a new sign permit application
