The City of Eagan Police )Department building was planned and the specifications
and bids were approved on 26 October 1977 by Mayor Polzin, Councilmen Rahn, Rydrych,
Smith and Wachter, City Administrator Hedges, Chief of Police DesLauriers and
Assistant Chief of Police Berthe.
The plans and specifications were prepared by Horne Architects, Inc. of
Eagan, .Minnesota.
The General Contractor will be Henry 0. Mikkelson of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The size of the new building will be 80' x 100' consisting of 8,000 square
feet on .the main floor and 8,000 square feel in the basement.
Future expansion would be possible by a third. floor addition to the building.
The type of .construction is concrete with brick facing including pre-stressed
concrete floors and roof.
The completion date is expected to be l June 1978.
The cost is $487,550.
