ggs of Eagan inspects a kind of cocked his head and just stared at
his family's terrier,Jack, us," said Briggs, of Eagan. After a long
a coyote attack last month. pause, the coyote sauntered between two
houses across the street and disappeared
into the woods of Patrick Eagan Park.
That brazen encounter last month left
Jack with a puncture wound on his shoul-
der and a couple of scrapes. It left Lori Brig-
gs, Brad's wife, feeling that the suburban
wildlife was lurking too close for comfort.
Eagan police say coyotes are the chief
suspects in at least five attacks on dogs
since September in the city's abundant
parks and neighborhoods.
