MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL
EAGAN, MINNESOTA
FEBRUARY 6, 1980
A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on February 6,
1980, at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall. Those present were: Mayor Blomquist, Council-
members Egan, Smith, Wachter and Parranto. Also present were City Administrator
Hedges and Chief of Police DesLauriers.
POLICE PATROL CARS
Chief of Police DesLauriers appeared to discuss the purchase of x-bodied
cars to be used a police patrol cars. Members of the City Council stated that the
decision to use an x-bodied car for police patrol car use was a budgetary decision
and policy in order to review energy efficiency, patrol car performance and other
related items. After discussion on the matter, Mayor Blomquist stated that the
City as requested by the City Council would use the x-bodied car that was recently
purchased, a Buick Skylark, for police patrol use and asked Chief of Police Des-
Lauriers to provide the City Council with a performance evaluation at an appropriate
date in the future.
There was no action required and no further business. The meeting was
adjourned.
