07/09/1980 - City Council Special OO1 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL EAGAN, MINNESOTA JULY 9, 1980 A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on July 9, 1980, at 5:00 p.m. at the Eagan City Hall. Those present were Mayor Blomquist, Councilmembers Egan, Smith, Wachter and Parranto. Also present were City Administrator Hedges, City Clerk-Treasurer Bolke, and Director of Finance Van- Overbeke. Also present was the City's Fiscal Consultant, Mr. Ernie Clark, representing Miller & Schroeder Municipals, Inc. $3,060,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT BOND SALE The results of the July 9, 1980, $3,060,000 General Obligation Improvement Bond Sale were distributed by Mr. Ernie Clark, the City's Fiscal Concultant representing Miller & Schroeder Municipals, Inc. Mr. Clark reported that the low bidder was "First National Bank of St. Paul-Dain Bosworth, Inc.". The interest rate was set at 6.276% with a total net interest of $1,038,168.00. After further discussion on the matter and in a motion by City Councilmember Smith, seconded by Councilmember Parranto, with all members voting aye, the low bid for a $3,060,000 General Obligation Improvement Bond Sale was approved to First National Bank of St. Paul-Dain Bosworth, Inc. SEE BOND FILE IMPROVEMENT 80-25 (WESCOTT ROAD EXTENSION) Mayor Blomquist, City Councilmembers Parranto, Egan and Wachter along with City Administrator Hedges, Director of Public Works Colbert and the Consulting Engineer from the firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, Mr. Bob Rosene, toured the proposed alignment of Wescott Road to be extended from its present termination at the intersection of Denmark Avenue to Lexington Avenue. This improvement is referred to as Improvement 80-25. It was noted that Mr. Patrick McCarthy was unable to be present for the onsite inspection of the alignment as it relates to crossing his property.
