JAIL FACILITY FOR WESTERN DAKOTA COUNTY Karen Ferguson, the City of Eagan's representative on a special committee appointed by the Dakota County Board of Commissioners to investigate the feasibility of building a new County Jail facility in western Dakota County appeared to discuss the progress of the study committee. She stated that a new facility would handle: (1) All juvenile detentions, at least until court hearings; (2) All Huber Law inmates; and (3) All persons jailed awaiting first appearance in court. There was no action taken on the matter. Karen Ferguson was given appreciation by the Mayor and City Councilmembers for her work and effort on the committee. 1981 PROPOSED BUDGET The City Administrator reviewed the departmental breakdown as re- quested at the August 20, 1980 special budget meeting.
