MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL
EAGAN, MINNESOTA
SEPTEMBER 11, 1980
A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on September
11, 1980 at 7:00 p.m. in the office of the City Administrator. Those present
were Mayor Blomquist, Councilmembers Egan, Smith, Wachter and Parranto. Also
present were City Administrator Hedges and Director of Finance VanOverbeke.
1981 BUDGET
The City Administrator presented a memorandum that outlines the
various budgetary adjustments that were made at the direction of the City Council
as a result of the August 20, 1980 budget meeting. The City Administrator stated
that he reviewed all budgetary adjustments with department heads, and the pro-
posed mill rate as a result of those budget work sessions is .01969 mills.
A breakdown of a proposed levy limit for 1981 was reviewed and discussed in
detail by the City Council. The City Council also reviewed each of the budgetary
expenditures in detail, making several proposed adjustments. After a lengthy
meeting regarding a proposed 1981 budget, the City Administrator was asked to
make a number of revisions and present a revised copy of the 1981 budget for
consideration by the City Council at the September 23, 1981 special City Council
meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion duly made and seconded, the meeting adjourned at 10:30
p.m.
