MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP
A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township,
Dakota County, Minnesota, at which the Township's attorney was pre-
sent, was held on April 8th, 1959 at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
Mr. David L. Grannie, Jr., representing Cedar Grove Utilities Co.
and Cedar Grove Construction Co., presented to the Board a preliminary
proposal for water and gas franchises and plat covering certain lands
acquired by said companies for the purposes of a residential develop-
ment.
As proposed the plat would provide for minimum lots of 9,000
square feet with no side dimension less than 70 feet; a sewage disposal
system; all streets to have a six inch gravel base and a two inch black
top; streets to be 60 feet wide to the right of way Lines with a 30
foot top; curbing to be machine laid blacktop; all boulevards along
streets to be sodded and include two and one-half foot catalpa trees
planted at intervals of 50 to 60 feet along both sides of the streets;
fire hydrants at the intersection of each and every block; six inch,
eight inch and ten inch mains in the streets; and the streets to be con-
structed according to specifications and approval of the Town Board be-
fore the Township would have any obligation to take them over.
Mr. Grannie advised the Board that the water franchise would be
owned by Cedar Grove Utilities Co., the stock of which would be owned
by J. E. Jandric and Robert Brandt. Mr. Grannie also presented forms of
franchise agreements for gas and water for examination by the Township's
attorney.
