MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEm'ING OF THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. EAGAN TOWNSHIP
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township waa
held on June 21st, 1960 at 8.00 o'clock P.M. at the Town Hall at which all
members were present except Supervisor Schwanz.
The Minutes of the JUDe 7th, 1960 meeting were read and approved.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor
Trapp, it was RESOLVED that the application by Pure Oil Company for a
special use permit to construct a filling station at the junction of Cedar
Avenue and County Road 7 be, and hereby is, finally approved upon the
recommendation ot the Advisory Planning Committee according to the separate
resolution of even date herewith.
The application tor a special use permit by LaHaas Corporation to
construct an industrial building on Highway 13 adjacent Blackhawk Road was
continued at the request ot applicant to the July 5th, 1960 Board meeting
tor tinal action.
Upon IDOtion duly made by Chairman Bahn and seconded by Supervisor
Trapp, it was RESOLVED to table the application ot Lawrence, Inc. tor a
special use permit to construct billboards at 2705 Highw~ 55 for a further
consideration by the Board at its July 5th, 1960 meeting.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the application by Durber Allan tor a building
permit under Ordinance No.VI, Section 5, Hardship to construct a garage

3 teet from the side lot line be, and hereby is, denied upon the recolIIDenda-
tion ot the Advisory Planning Committee.
The report by Deputy Commissioner Marzitelli on Highway FAI: 351: was

read and the Clerk was directed to tile same.
Town Engineer Davis' report on the storm sewer system in Cedar Grove
No.2 was read and the Clerk was directed to tile same.
Mr. John Bushnell presented application tor a building permit to
construct a teeding and storage shed for bleach distribution to be
approximately 55 feet x 80 teet and to be located upon his 121 acre farm
located in the SW)4, Section 36, Township 27, Range 23. He advised the
Board that he intended to use the structure for the bottling and distribu-
tion of sodium hypochloride with a maximum storage of 1000 gallons at any
given time. The space actually used for the bottling and distribution to be
32 feet x 40 feet. The Board advised Mr. Bushnell to make application to
the Advisory pl~nning Committee for re-zoning and a special use permit under
Ordinance No.VI.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Superrlsor Trapp,
it was RESOLVED that the Town Attorney prepare the advertisment for bids
per Town Engineer Davis' last estimate ot McKee Addition street improvement
costs and that same be posted according to law.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the tinal payment on the Edwin Englert property
be made by the Town Attorney upon obtaining good title thereto according to
the terms of the Earnest Money Contract applicable thereto in the sum ot
$2,000.00.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was resolved that Patricia
Drake, 3506~ South Lexington Avenue be, and hereby is appointed for a
period of one year from and after the date hereof to maintain a dog pound
for Eagan Township according to the terms and conditions of Ordinance No.IV
and subject to the following:
Owners who reclaim dogs shall reimburse Patricia
Drake in the manner provided in said Ordinance.
In the event any such dog is unclaimed, Eagan
Township shall reimburse said Patricia Drake at the
rate of 75' per day for board and room during the
holding period as specified in said Ordinance.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVED that sufficient gravel mix (binder rock) be pur-
chased forthwith for the filling of potholes in the streets in McKee
Addition as required.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rabn and seconded by Supervisor
Trapp, it was RESOLVED that the Board be, and hereby is, authorized to
purchase fifteen steel posts for street and road load limitation signs.
