OF
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Eagan Township was
November 15, 1960
held at the Town Hall at 8:00 P.M.Aat wh1ch all members were present.
Chairman Rahn opened the meeting and the Clerk read the minutes of the
preceding meeting which were approved unanimously as read.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the following building permits were
approved and issued to Cedar Grove Construction Company:
Lot 21, Block 2, Cedar Grove No. 2
JLot 8, Block 7, Cedar Grove No. 2
Lot 30, Block 7, Cedar Grove No. 2
Lot 33, Block 7, Cedar Grove No. 2
Mr. W. G. Weyers, 927 Minnesota Building, a Realtor, representing Earl
C. Motz, appeared in support of application for rezoning certain lands in
Sectionsll and 12. The Board examined the area involved along with adjacent
lands which the Planning Committee recommended be rezoned simultaneously and
noted that the other land owners affected have no objections to such rezoning.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and seconded by Supervisor
Schwanz, IT WAS RESOLVED that said lands be rezoned from A, Agricultural to
1-1, Light Industrial, subject to a correct legal description being furnished.
Robert W. Johnson, 1781 Yorkshire, st. Paul, appeared in behalf of his
application for rezoning of certain property situated in Cedar Grove No.2. He
advised the Board that he held an option to purchase the property from Emil
Jandric; that the present plan calls for a 32 bed nursing home, subject to in-
creasing the space to 96 beds maximum; and that a registered nurse would be
on duty at all times at the home. The Board was advised that under Ordinance
Number VI, in view of the fact that the property in question is now zoned as
R-l, Residential, the proceedings could be initiated by motion of the Board
of Supervisors and that a public hearing on such rezoning would be required.

Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Trapp,
IT WAS RESOLVED that notice be given for a public hearing to be held at 7:00
P.M. on December 20, 1960, at McKee's Hall. Mr. Johnson paid an advance fee
for rezoning in the sum of $30.
The application of Frank Heuer for rezoning part of Section 11-27-23
from A, Agricultural to I-l, Light Industrial was considered in the light of
the recommendation of the Advisory Planning Committee. Upon motion duly made
by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Trapp IT WAS RESOLVED that the
present Frank Heuer property plus an additional 40 acres, or a total of 127 acres
extending to Yankee Doodle Road and the West line of the East one-quarter of the
Southeast one-quarter of Section 11-27-23 be, and hereby is, rezoned from A,
Agricultural to I-l, Light Industrial, subject to the submission of a correct
legal description by Mr. E. S. McCall appearing on behalf of the applicant.
Mr. David Duerenberger, Attorney, appeared on behalf of the Suburban Elec-
tric Association with regard to utility service in Eagan Township. The matter
was considered by the Board of Supervisors in the light of overlapping utility
service as between Dakota County Electric Co-op and NorthernStates Power Com-
pany. Chairman Rahn referred the matter to the Advisory Planning Committee for
study and recommendation.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn, and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz,
IT wAS RESOLVED that all meetings of the Board of Supervisors and the Advisory
Planning~mmittee for the months of December, 1960 and January and February, 1961
be held at McKee Hall in view of the inadequacy of the present Town Hall facil-
ities. Supervisor Trapp abstained.
Mr. Robert Tuttle, 2804 Beam Lane, Country Home Heights, appeared and re-,
quested road maintenance adjacent to his property. No formal action was taken.

APPLICATION FOR RE-ZONING IN EAGM~ TOWNSHIP
YOU.VILL PUASE TAKE NOTICE That upon resolution of the Board
of Supervisors of Eagan Township, Dakota County, Minnesota duly
adopted November 15th, 1960, a public hearing will be held at HcKee
Hall located on Highway No. 55 near Lexington Avenue South, Eagan
Township on Tuesday, December 20th, 1960 at 7:00 0' clock P.M., for the
purpose of considering a petition to re-zone certain property from R-l,
Residential to P, Public Facilities in accordance with the Ordinance
No. VI, said property being more particularly described as Lots 8, 9,
10, 11, 25, 26, 27 and 28, Block 6, Cedar Grove No.2.
