MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <F THE _J30ARD OF SUPERVISORS EAGAN TOWNSHIP July 51ll, l~l A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, was held at the Town Hall on July 5111, 1961, at 8:00 p.m. at which all members were present. Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the preceding meeting were approved as read with one correction as follows: "Upon motion duly made by ~upervisor Schwanz and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was ~LVED that a Committee to prepare factual materials in preparation for re-submission of the new town hall bond issue be appointed composed of all the members of the Advisory Planning Committee together with the respective chairmen of the North Eagan Civic Association and the West Eagan Civic Association". Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the fol- lowing applications for building permits be approved and same issued: Thomas Schultz 3)ll acres in $'.. of ~, Section 16-27-23 26 x 42 ft. Machine shed $ 750 Mr. Eugene Bader appeared on behalf of his application tc operate a sanitary landfill on Highway' No. 13 but indicated that he had not ready for submission the materials and information required by the Board of Super- 20a visors.. Chairman Ralm struck the matter from the Agenda until such time as Mr. Bader should re-applY. A propose<i road agreement covering Cedar Grove No.3 and No.4 was presented. Upon motion dulY made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Super- visor Trapp,it was RESOLVED that said road agreements be and the same here- by are approved and the appropriate officers authorized to execute same subject to the inclusion therein of the engineering specifications for the road therein as submitted and prepared by the Town Engineer. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the roads in Cedar Grove No. 1 and No.2 be. and the same hereby are approved finally upon submission by the Town Engineer of a formal report in writing approving same at which time the road work agreements therefore shall be deemed can- celled and terminated along with the accompanying performance bond. Chairman Rabn reported on the investigation of the Board of Super- visors of the John Moeller gravel pit operation on Highway No 19. It appeared that the operation thereof was not in accordance with the pre- vious agreement made with Mr. Moeller and the Alexander Construction Com- ~. nor with the applicable ordinance. Upon motion duly made by Chair- man Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it vas RESOLVED that the Town Attorney write a letter to Mr. Moeller and the Alexander Construction Com- pany on behalf of the Town Board directing them to immediately proceed to plant popplar trees 4 to 5 feet in height at staggered 4 foot intervals all along the West boundary of its property adjacent to Highway No. 19. The Town Attorney presented a form of amendment to the building permit Ordinance No. III. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz 205 and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said ordinance be, and the same hereby is amended according to the amendment separately \ attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof. The application of Henry Broback and Elmer Rahn for rezoning of part of Section 20...27-23 was stricken from the Agenda and referred to the Advisory Pl~nning Committee in view of applicant's request for resubmis- sion of a new proposed layout. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the road overseer be, and he hereby is auth- orized and directed to erect 40 mile per hour speed signs on Beau de Rue Road in accordance with the authorization received from the Minnesota High- way Department. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the Town Attorney prepare a notice for bid on police radio equipment for the two police cars including the following specifications: 75 watt, transistor. 2 frequency units, one a 12 volt and one a 6 volt unit. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the Town Attorney write to K. W. McKee re- questing the use of McKee Hall on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of conducting Justice Court.
