MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. EAGAN TOWNSHIP
OCTOBER 3RD. 1961
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Town-
ship was held on October 3rd, 1961 at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at the Town
Hall at which all members were present except Supervisor Trapp.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meetings
were approved as read.
The following building permit was approved and issued:
Alpby LeM~ - Garage 20' X 22' - Section 10-27-23, estimated
cost = $1,000.00.
Hr. Parker representing the Rosemount Bus Company appeared
in regard to the condition of Cliff Road between Highways 218 and 19.
A group of residents were with Mr. Parker in this connection. Upon
motion duly made and seconded. it was RESOLVED that the road over-
seer be directed to change the stop signs at the intersection of
Dodd Road and Cliff Road so that the traffic on Dodd Road would be
required to stop for through traffic on Cliff Road; and it was FURTHER
RESOLVED to install guard posts and cable along the road near Ohman's
property and reflectors on the post near the lake.
The proposed dedication for public purposes of a park site in
Cedar Grove by Cedar Grove Construction Company was considered on the
basis of a proposed agreement by Cedar Grove Construction Company.
It was RESOLVED that said agreement be, and the sane hereby is,
approved and the appropriate officers be directed to execute same,
subject to the inclusion therein of such plana and specifications for
the proposed park as approved by the Town Engineer.

Mr. Tilsen appeared on behalf of the proposed central water
system in Timberline Addition. Upon motion duly made by SU1Jervisor
Schwanz and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the
Town Attorney prepare an appropriate agreement for the construction
of said central water system by the Township under the direct super-
vision of the Town Engineer at the expense of the developers, the
agreement to further include a provision that all extraordinary ex-
penses of the operation of said water system upon completion to be
borne by the benefited residents.
A number of residents from Valley View Plateau appeared with
respect to the requested hearing on road improvements and special
assessments therefore ia that addition. Upon motion duly made and
seconded, it was RESOLVED that the Town Engineer be directed to pre-
pare specifications and cost estimates for such road improvements as
he may deem required; and FURTHER RESOLVED that the Assessor be dir-
ected to submit to the Board of Supervisors a list of all land owners
with their correct addresses in Valley View Plateau. The Board in-
dicated that upon the submission of the foregoing, it would set a
date for a hearing on the proposed improvements.
The application by Bizanz Bros. Construction Company for pre-
liminary plat approval was considered. Upon motion duly made by
Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED
that preliminary approval be, and the same hereby is, granted.
Mr. Eugene W. Peske pres,ented an application for an Off and On
Sale 3.2 Beer license for the Ha1fw~ House. Upon motion duly made
by Chairman Rabn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED

that said application be, and the same hereby is, approved, and the
appropriate officers were directed to execute the formal application
for filing in the appropriate county office.
Chairman Rahn read a letter reply from the Gopher Smelting Com-
pany to the demands by the Town Board previously for the company to
eliminate its smoke and odor. No further action was deemed necessary.
The application of Henry Bruestle for tax abatement on his
homestead on Highway No. 19 was considered. Upon motion duly made by
Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Chairman RaM, it was RESOLVED that
such application for abatement be, and the same hereby is,rejected.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that appro-
priate duplicate forms of invoice for billing individuals for roadwork,
snowplowing, etc. be prepared.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by
Chairman Rahn, it was resolved that permission be, and the same hereby
is, granted to Donnay Construction Company to hook up with the storm
sewer system in Cedar Grove tor the disposal of affluent from its pro-
posed sewage plant, subject to approval of plans and specifications
therefore by the town engineer.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by
Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the town road overseer obtain signs
reading "Shooting Regulated by Ordinance" to be affixed to the present
township signs posted at the boundaries.
