MINUTES OF REGULAR l1EETING OF THE BOAR)) OF ~tlJ:'~'lISORS t EAGAN TOWNSHIP
December 19'/l, 1961
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township
was held at 8:00 0' clock P.M. on December 19, 1961 at the Town Hall at
which all members were present.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the preceding meeting were
approved as read. There we~e DO applications for buildins permits.
The application of Cedar Grove Construction Compe.ny for a one year
extension of its agreement with the township tor the installation of
off-site improvements in Cedar Grove No.~ was presented. Upon motion
duly made b1 SupeM'iser Schwanz and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it
was m:SOLVED that said one year extension for said purpose be, and the
same hereb)" is, granted, subject to preparation b)" the town attorney of
an appropriate separate resolution covering same.
Tbe application of Stuart BtU"ringer for preliminary plat approval of
a one acre lot was stricken from the agenda tar lack of appearance.
A proposed resolution to establish a special fire district was pre-
pared b1 the town attorney_ Upon motion duly made by Chairman Ra.hn and
eeconded by SUpervieor SChwanz, it was RESOLVED that aocording to law a
special election thereon be called for January l?\b, 1962, between the
hours of 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall and that ap;propriate
notice thereot, according to law, be publishecl and poeted.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor
Schwanz. it was RESOLVED that the proposed amendment to Ordinance No.
III be reapproved and adopted a8 of this date in view of the tai lure to
publish following the last meeting of the Board of Supervisors within
the statutory time.
CQnstruction
The proposed agreement between AlexanaerAcompany and Eagan Township
was presented covering the contemplated gravel pit operation on the Hugo
Goers property on Highway No. 19 including the suggested amendments by
surrounding residents. Mr. Organic appeared on behalf of the Alexander
Construction Company. There was no appearance by the surrounding res!-
dents or any representative on their behalf. Upon motion duly made by
Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it was RESOLVED that
a gravel permit be issued under Ordinance No. VIII and further that the
permit be issued for the year 1962 pursuant to said ordinanoe, acknow-
ledging that the SUD! of $400 had been paid accompanying the application,
8814 resolution conditioned upon the execution by said Alexander Con-
struction Company of said agreement.
The town attorney presented a proposed agreement for Timberline Addi-
ticn. It was reported that the town engineer had previously examined
said agreement and had approved same. Upon motion duly made by Chairman
Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that said agree-
ment be, and the same hereb)" is, aPproved and the town attorney was dir-
ected to obtain the appropriate signatures from the developers thereon.
