"7. - \. ~ OF REGULAR MEm'ING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP April 3rd, 1962 A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, was held on April 3rd, 1962 at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at the Town Hall at which all members were present. Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes were approved as read. The following building permits were approved and granted: McKee, Inc. - 2767 Highway No. 55 35,200 sq. ft. ~75,000 A commercial building (To replace burned building an same footings and same plans and specifications as old building, at same place - doing own con- tracting. Robert Ginsberg - 2816 Beam Lane, Country 21' x 21' Home Heights - addition to home $4,000 George Ohman, Jr. Cliff Road 36' x 46' Storage 5lJed $4,000 The application of Mr. Grimmes for a permit to operate a gravel pit on the John Moeller property on Highway No. 19 was considered. Mr. Grimmes has requested that the application be granted in conjunction wi th the permit now in existence on the John Moeller property in the name of Alexander COll8truction Co. The original agreement between Eagan Township and JOhn Moeller and the Alexander Construction Company was entered into on .:~lne '7tl, 1960. Mr. Grimmes was a partner in the J. .." +, I W. Alexander Construotion Company ill January of 1961. The question as to the self-renewal aspects of the original agreement, upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the application be, and hereby is, referred to the Advisol'7 PlAnning Committee on April 9'b, 1962. Mr. \Ialter Potter appeared on behalf of the proposed Cedar Grove 199 Fire Control District. After cohsiderable discussion about the need for holding a public hearing for”*ning the property to be used as a fire hall from Residential to Public Facilities it was decided that th3E»àdate for the public hearing be set at a later meeting of the Board of Supervisors. On & Off-Sale Beer Upon motion by Chairman RaM and seconded by S5«s„isor Trapp, it was RESOLVED that the foregoing beer license applications be, and they hereby are granúʯç Chairman Rahn announced that on the basis of a recent discussion with the Town Engineer, the special " W›ng for Vajley View Plateau Addi- tion Road Improvements project be continued until the next meeting of ÑpÜé Board of Supervisors on April 1'7tl. The reason for the continuance is that the Town Engineer has acqui–´CWœew information from the State Highway Department about approaches to Highway No. 13. Following considS?ýõƒon of the application of Hattie Lagerstedt of Silver Emblem Kennels at 3506~ South Lexington Highway in eW¢aul for dog catcher of Eagan Township, upon motion duly made and seconbed, it was RESOLVED that Hattiµ§Äàerstedt be appointed the dog catcher for 173 Eagan Township according to the provisions of an agreement entered into on the 3rd day of April, 1962, by and between the Board of Supervisors, EaganTownship and Hattie Lagerstedt. Upon motion, all bills submitted to the Board of Supervi&:lrs, were approved to be paid. Upon moti.on, the meeting adjourned. Dated: April 3rd, 1962. ~.~ aLl~ Clerk MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP July 3, 1962 A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township was held on July 3rd, 1962 at the Town Hall at which all members were present. Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the last regular meeting on June 19~ and a special meeting on June 25~ were approved as read. The following applications for building permits were presented and approved: Alfred Rahn Swimming Pool & Fence Lot 9, Block 2, 2970 Burnside, 16' x 32' Country Home Heights To remove existing home at 3490 Sibley Highway to Yankee Doodle Road, 24' x 36' Cedar Grove Con- 27 Homes, all in Cedar Grove No.4, ex- struction Company cept one in Cedar Grove No. 1 $400.00 John H. Davies Total Permit Fee: $405.00 Mr. Leonard Jacker, Lot 9, Ridgeview Acres, appeared requesting infor- mation concerning the procedure for application of a building permit un- der the hardship clause of Ordinance No. VI. Mr. Jacker was instructed to make an application to the Advisory Planning Committee. The request for approval of an agreement including Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and Eagan Township relative to laying of underground tele- phone cable on Rahn Road was held over to the July 1'7Yl, 1962 Board meeting. The findings of the Board of Supervisors concerning the establishment of voting precincts within Eagan Township and the determination of sites for polling places within the voting precincts was next presented. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Sch~z and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it was Rl~SOLVED that the following precincts with designated polling places be, and they hereby are, established and that the publication of the change of voting limits be made in the official township newspaper: Precinct No. 1 - All that area south of Highway No. 10 and east of Blackhawk Road crossing Cliff Road and extending directly South of the intersection of Blackha\~ Road and Cliff Road to the southern border of Eagan Township, with the polling place at the Town Hall. Precinct No. 2 - All that area north of Highway No. 10, with the pol- ling place at the home of Mrs. Stochl, 2996 Pilot Knob Road. Precinct No. 3 - All that area west of Blackhawk Road and extending directly south of Blackhawk Road from the intersec- tion of Blackhawk Road and Cliff Road to the south- ern border of Eagan Township with the polling place at Christ Lutheran Church on County Road No.7. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the applica- tion of Conrad A. Sheets, President of Spur, Inc., 2433 Simpson, St. Paul, Minnesota for an On-Sale and Off-Sale nonintoxicating liquor license for the Lost Spur Ranch Club be, and hereby is, approved. Chairman Rabn presented an informal report and discussion ensued con- cerning the meeting of June 26~, 1962 at the State Capitol between the Minnesota Municipalities Commission and representatives of the North Dakota County townships dealing with the incorporation of these townships. No specific action was taken. Chairman Rahn read a letter from Reuben Johnson, President of the West Eagan Civic Association objecting to the denial of an expenditure of Town- ship funds for payment of the difference between the cost of a party line and a private line telephone for the constables ot the township. Upon me- tion duly made by Chairman RaM and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it was RESOLVED that payment for the difference between the cost of a party line and a private telephone for each of the two constables of the township bet and it hereby is, ordered to be paid from the general fund of Eagan Town- ship. A letter from the Honorable Mayor Huber of Mendota Heights was next read. The substance of the letter was that the Village Council of Mendota Heights had rescinded its earlier action recommending an increase in the fire contract rates with Eagan Township and that the village would accept contract terms comparable to those in effect for the year 1961-1962 for the coming contract year.
