REGULAR MEm'ING OF BOAR]) OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOVJN:xIIP, JUNE 19th, 1962
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, was
held on June 191b, 1962 at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at the Town Hall at which all
members were present except Supervisor Trapp.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were
approved as read. Chairman Rahn appointed Herbert Polzin to act as Depllty
Clerk during conduct of the meeting in the absence of the regular clerk.
The following applications for building permits were presented:
Vi~a Pe1voski - Garage 16' x 22' to be situated at 1053 Keefe Street
On Lot 4, Block 1, McKee Addition, Approx.Cost = $689.00
Marvin Rahn - House 26' x 48' on 3 acre parcel described as: The South
261.4' of the North 761' of the West 500' of the West 1/2
of the Northwest 1/4, Section 11-27-23.
Approx.Cost = $21,000.00
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz,
it was RESOLVED that the permit applications be approved.
Mr. Steve Brown, President of the West End Fishing and Hunting Club
appeared on behalf of request for additional privileges for shooting on
Club property. The request included that the club members be permitted to
shoot on Thursday evenings of each week. Upon motion duly made by Super-
visor Schwanz and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the special
use permit heretofore issued to the West End Fishing & Hunting Club be. and
the same hereby is, extended to include privileges of shooting to the mem-
bers on Thursday evenings of each week.
The application of Mr. William 0' Neill. 2660 Dodd Road. St. Paul 18,
Minnesota for preliminary plat approval was submitted. For lack of appear-
anee of the applicant the matter was laid over until the July meeting ot the
Board of Supervisors.
A discussion was had relative to moving the Westerly end of Black-
hawk Road to a new access point on State Trunk Highway No. 13. Chairman
Rahn referred the matter for further consideration to the second meeting
in July of the Board and directed the Town Attorney to notify the propert1
owners involved, namely: The LaHass Corporation, Ted Kaysen and Joseph
Adelmann.
The request of Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to install under-
ground cable near Rahn Road and Highway No.7 (refer to Arril l7Ul minutes)
waS presented and discussed. Upon motion duly made by Chairma.'"l Rahn and
seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the request be, and
the same hereby ie, approved subject to approval of the Town Engineer as to
plans and specifications.
Mr. Robert Oslund appeared informally in regard to future approval
of roads in the Tilsen Addition. No formal action was taken.
Several residents registered complaints about continued operations of
the Trestman Animal Kennel on Highway No. 19. No formal action was taken.
