MINUTES OF REGUIAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. EAGI\N TOWNSHIP
October 16. 1962
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, was held
on October 16th, 1962 at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at the Town Hall at which all
members were present except Supervisor Trapp.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the preceding meeting were unan-
imously approved as read.
The following applications for building permits were filed:

Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz,
it was RESOLVED that the foregoing building permits be, and the same hereby are,
approved and the Clerk ordered to issue such permits to the applicants.
The Town Attorney presented a form of Resolution regarding the proposed
assessment for road improvements in Valley View Plateau and Valley View Plateau
Plat 2. Upon motion made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz,
it was RESOLVED that the separate Resolution, hereto attached and made a part
hereof, be, and it hereby is, adopted.
The application of Jeanne L. Dudley, Route #1, St. Paul 11, Minnesota
for a dog kennel permit was submitted. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor
Schwanz and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said dog ken-
nel permit be, and the same hereby is, issued to the applicant.
The road easements from property owners along the Wescott Road were sub-
mitted for acceptance by Eagan Township. Upon motion duly made by Chairman
Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the easements
dedicating certain property for highway road be, and the same hereby are,
duly accepted and the town attorney is directed to record the easements ac-
cording to law.
James Tousignant appeared on behalf of his application for final approv-
al of his plat of ttNancy Circle" located on Cedar Avenue South. Upon motion
duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RE-
SOLVED that said plat be, and the same hereby is, finally approved.
The application of Cedar Grove Construction Co. for the dedication of
its storm sewer system was presented upon the conditional recommendation of
the Advisory Planning Committee. No appearance was made by anyone in behalf
of the applicant. The matter was tabled to the November Board of Supervisors
meeting pending advice from the applicant as to the location of the balance
of the 1,100 homes in Cedar Grove Addition which applicant has represented
will be attached to the storm sewer system.
The deed for "Park Lot" in Cedar Grove No. 1 by Cedar Grove Construc-
tion Co. was presented for acceptance by the Board. Upon motion duly made
and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the dedication of "Park Lot" in Cedar
Grove No. 1 by Cedar Grove Construction Co. be, and the same hereby is, duly
approved and accepted and the town attorney instructed to record said deed,
subject to agreement by applicant that the proffered picnic tables, barbecue
pits, and trash barrels be installed upon the picnic grounds.
The application of Peoples Natural Gas Co. for a special use permit to
establish a regulator-meter station on a 30' x 30' lot on Cliff Road, here-
to fore recommended for approval by the Advisory Planning Committee was sub-
mitted. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor
Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that said application for a special use permit to
construct a regulator-meter station be, and the same hereby is, granted per
the application and legal description contained therein.
The Home Juice Company through its representative appeared in behalf
of its application for a special use permit to construct a building for the
distribution of Home Juice products to be situated at the intersection of
Highway No. #13 and old Highway No. #13 in Section 19. The Advisory P1an-
ning Committee had previously recommended approval of the application. Upon
motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was
RESOLVED that the applications for special use permit and for a building
permit be, and the same hereby are, granted subject to the final approval by
the town engineer as to water, sewer facilities and final plans and specifi-
cations.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the next
meeting of the Board of Supervisors be held on November 20th, 1962 forego-
ing the regular meeting on the first Tuesday in November because of election.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the established rate per hour for road work by
the Road Overseers Assistant be set at $2.00.
