MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. EAGAN TOWNSHIP
NOVEMBER 7TH. 1962
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, Dakota
County, Minnesota was held November 7th, 1962 at the Town Hall at 8:00 0'
clock P.M. at which all members were present.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were
approved as read.
The following applications for building permits were submitted:
Louis Trapp Barn Remodeling
$520.00
David Simecek Lot 3, House and Garage
Block 1, Timberline Addition
$25,000.00
Cedar Grove Utilities Co. Addition to Sewerage Plant
$58,000.00
Cedar Grove Construction Co. - 36 houses in Cedar Grove
No. #4
$540,000.00
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz,
it was RESOLVED that the foregoing building permits be, and the same hereby
are approved, and the Clerk ordered to issue same, subject to payment of the
appropriate fees involved.
A resolution regarding the partial payment to Ruegger Roadwa~ , Inc.
for certain road improvements on Valley View Plateau was made by Chairman
Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz as separately set forth and at-
tached hereto.
The Town Attorney presented a form of resolution regarding reassessment
procedure in Valley View Plateau regarding road construction therein. Upon
motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, the
resolution as separately set forth herein was adopted.
Mr. Valine, President of Gopher Smelting Co., the company attorney, and
Mr. Brookman, in charge of installing dust equipment, appeared in response
to the request for appearance by the Town Board. The Town Engineer reported
that he had inspected the plant and plans for the dust removal equipment
were presented and explained. It further appeared that the company had pur-
chased building permits for the plant addition to the extent of $lO,OOO.OO.
The Town Attorney recommended dismissal of the complaint as to non-compliance
with the building ordinance. The company representatives indicated that
within two weeks the problems as to dust, noise, acid-pond, fencing, etc.
would be eliminated.
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor
Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the application of Mr. M. A. Brooks d/b/a
Valley House, for a 3.2 Beer license be, and the same hereby is, approved.
The Town Attorney presented a form of Resolution regarding the payment
from the General Fund in the amount of $5,279.37 to cover the cost of grad-
ing and graveling the access road from Highway #13 to Highview Avenue in
Valley View Plateau Addition, being the Township's portion of the Valley
View Plateau Road Improvement Project authorized by M.S.A. Chapter 429.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the separate reso-
lution hereto attached and made a part hereof, be, and it hereby is, adopted.
The request of Cedar Grove Construction Co. for an extension of the co~
pletion date for off-site improvements in Cedar Grove No.4 for a period of
one year was presented. Following discussion, the Board informally decided
that they would grant the extension provided that Cedar Grove Construction
Co. would agree to pay for all snow plowing and necessary road maintenance
during such extended period, and that the matter would be considered on this
basis at the Board's next regular meeting, November 20th, 1962.
Upon motion, all bills submitted were approved to be paid.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned.

NOTICE OF RE-ASSESSMENT HEARING
Town of Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota
NOTICE is hereby given that on Monday, December J, 1962 at
7: 30 0' clock P.M., the Town Board of the Town of Eagan, Dakota County,
Minnesota, will meet at the Town Hall for the purpose of considering
a proposed re-assessment of all lots and tracts of land in Valley View
Plateau and Valley View Pl.teau Plat 2 for improvements to all streets
situated in said additions, namely, Highview Avenue, Bridgeview Avenue,
Highview Terrace, Highridge Terrace, Southridge Terrace and Hilldale
Terrace, said improvements consisting of excavating and grading, in-
stalling gravel base, asphalt surface and machine-laid asphalt curbing
thereon, at which time and place written or oral objections thereto
by any property owner will be considered. The proposed re-assessment
roll is on file with Alyce BoIke, 1365 Deerwood Drive, St. Paul 11,
Minnesota, Clerk of Eagan Township.
