MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF EAGAN TOWN BOARD. NOVEMBER 20. 1962
A regulartlBeUngof the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, Dako-
ta County, Minnesota, was held at the Town Hall on November 20th, 1962
at 8:00 0' clock P.M. at which all members were present except Super-
visor Trapp.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were
unanimously approved as read.
The following applications for building permits were presented:
Robert Oslund House at 3030 Woodlark, Timberline Addition $23,000
Del Blohm House at 3025 Woodlark, Timberline Addition $22,000
Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor ~c~nz,
it was RESOLVED that the foregoing applications be, and the same hereby
are, approved, and the Clerk directed to issue the required building
permits.
Mr. Norbert Bizanz appeared in behalf of his application for final
approval of plat of Egan's Carriage Hill Addition. It was noted that the
plat had been recommended for final approval by the Advisory Planning
Committee. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by
Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the plat of Egan's Carriage Hill Ad-
dition be, and the same hereby is, finally approved, variance as to the
standard width of that portion of the Carriage Hill Drive for a distance
of approximately 1,200 feet East of the Centerline of Higpway No. 19 be-
ing permi tted.
The request of Cedar Grove Construction Company for a resolution
extending the completion date of off-site improvements in Cedar Grove No.
4 for a period of one year was tabled until the December 4th, 1962 Board
meeting.
The application of Northern Natural Gas Company for a special use
permit to construct a meter and regulator station on part of the George
Ohman property near the intersection of Highway No. 19 and Cliff Road
was presented. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by
Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the special use permit be, and
the same hereby is, granted and that a building permit be granted subject
to approval by the Town Engineer of the plans and specifications therefore
and the submission by applicant of an appropriate legal description of
the property involved.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVED that Section 2.05, Subd. 4 of Ordinance No. VI be,
and the same hereby is amended in accordance with Exhibit A, attached to
these minutes and made a part thereof to correct a tYPOlraphical omission
in the last published version of said ordinance.
The application of Helen L. Moletor, Rm te 112, Rosemount, for a dog
kennel license under Ordinance No. V was presented. Upon motion duly made
by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that
the requested license be, and the same hereby is, granted to the applicant
in accordance with said ordinance. ,

AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. VI - ZONING ORDINANCE. EAGAN TOWNSHIP
DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
The Board of SupeIVisors, Eagan Township, Dakota County, Minnesota
does hereby amend its Ordinance No. VI as follows:
ll2.05, Subd. 4. GENERAL RESIDENTIAL PROVISIONS. In all residential
districts all structures must be set back from lot boundaries as follows:
street sides - 30 feet; front yard - 30 feet; rear yard - 5 feet; side yard
- 10 feet.
The Board of Supervisors at any time may require an increase in lot
square footage or dimensions if deemed necessary to insure safe and ade-
quate watereupply and sanitation facilities.
The Board of Supervisors, for purposes hereunder, at any time prior
to final approval of any plat may permit reductions in the dimensions of
irregularly shaped lots to conform reasonably to the topography, streets
and general layout of any platted area.
All lots in all residential districts shall be contiguous to a plat-
ted street, estabUshed road or highway on at least one side."
