REGUlAR MEETING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. EAGAN TOWNSHIP. DEC&'\1BER 18. 1962
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, Dakota

County, Minnesota was held at the Town Hall on Tuesday, December 18, 1962
at 8:00 o' clock P.M. at which all members were present except Supervisor
Schwanz.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
A building permit was applied for by Mr. Robert Tilsen for a resi-
dence at 3020 Woodlark legally described as Lot 3, Block 1, Oslund's Ti~
berline Addition with dimensions of 24' x 53' including double garage
costing approximately $28,000. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn
and seconded by Supervisor Trapp, it was RESOLVED that the building per-
mit application of Robert Tilsen as indicated above be, and it hereby is,
approved, and the Clerk directed to issue the required permit.
Due to the fact that there was no appearanCe on behalf of the Cedar
Grove Construction Co. regarding the dedication of off-site improvements
!n Cedar Grove, the Board of Supervisors requested that the Town Attorney
contact Mr. John Todd instructing him to present information at the next
regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors substantiating the reason of
CedarGrove Construction Co. for restricting the area to be served by the
storm sewer system. It was informally discussed that the Board of Super-
visors might use its discretion as to what area the storm sewer system
should logically encompass, based upon the evidence proposed to be sub-
mitted by Cedar Grove Construction Co.
The application of Pentom, Inc. requesting a permit to establish a
billboard on the Charles Rueger property at the intersection of Highway
1113 and Cedar Avenue was next considered. Upon motion duly made and sec-
onded, it was RESOLVED that said application for the erection of a bill-
board, 12' x 36' on the Charles Rueger property at the intersection of
Highway l3 and Cedar Avenue pursuant to Ordinance No. VI Subd. 3.05 be,
and it hereby is, approved, subject, however, to the acquisition of a
special use permi t and a building permi t under Ordinance VI and further
subject to any existing or future ordinances, regulations or otherwise
governing the erection and use of billboards in Eagan Township. Upon
motion duly made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor '~~app, it was
RESOLVED that the cost of snowplowing for the current winter season in Ce-
dar Grove Subd. land 2 be, and it hereby is, ordered to be paid fLoffi the
General Fund of the Township.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the appli-
cation for an off-sale beer and non-intoxicating beverage license for the
Airliner Motel on Highway 55 be, and it hereby is, grant~d.
The application of Robert Schumacher, 3070 South Lexington Avenue,
St. Paul, for a dog kennel license for breeding of dogs only, was next con-
sidered. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the
Town Clerk be, and she hereby is, directed to contact the applicant request-'
ing that he acquire written consent for the dog kennel license from all
property owners with a reasonable distance of the proposed kennel.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Trapp and se~oi.1.ded by Chairman
Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the regular Board of Supervisors meeting of
January 1st, 1963 be, and it hereby is, cancelled due to the holiday season.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the Township
be, and it hereby is, ordered to purchase a 1 Way Trip snowplow from the
Public Works Equipment Co., Inc. of St. Paul in the approximate amount of
$850 to be hooked up to the present truck.
Upon motion, all bills submitted were ordered to be paid.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned.
