HINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BoARD OF SUPERVISORS
EAGAN TOWNSHIP, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTa
January 4, 1966
A regular meeting of the Board of supervisors, Eagpn township, was held
on January 4, 1966 at the Town Hall at which all members were present. Chair"
man Rahn presided. Upon motion by Supervisor Klein, seconded by Supervisor
Schwanz the minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. There
were no building permit applications.
The Town Attorney read an opinion concerning the assignment of traffic
cases to the Justice Courts inB.aaan Township.
The Town Attorney submitted a proposed amendment to the resolution of
the December 21, 1965 Board minutes relative to the application of Jerome
Harrington for rezoning certain property in Sections 28 and 29. Upon motion
by Supervisor Klein. seconded by Supervisor Schwanz it was RESOLVED that said
resolution is amended to read as follows: That the application of Jerome
Harrington for the rezoning of a 20 scre parcel situated in the NE 1/4 of the
ME 1/4, Section 29-27-23 and Section 28-27-23 from A, Agricultural to C-2 Heavy
Commercial be and it is hereby approved, subject however, to submission by
applicant of an appropriate agreement by himself and his successors that the
rezoning is subject to a 50 foot easement for highway purposes south of the
center line of Highway #30 and subject to the dedication of that portion of
the East 40 feet of Section 29 and the West 40 feet of Section 28 currently
owned by applicant in the event that the township should at some future time
construct a section line road along the section line dividing Sections 28 and 29.
Chairman Rahn read a letter from Cedar Grove Construction Coq>any request-
ing that the Township plow the following streets in Cedar Grove #3: Cornelian
,
Lane, Bluestone Lane, Flint Lane, Jade Lane and Jade Point. Upon motion made by
Supervisor Schwanz, seconded by Chairman Rahn it was RESOLVED that the foregoing
streets be plowed'during the winter of 1966 by the Eagan snowplow.

Upon motion by Supervisor Klein seconded by Chairman Rahn it was RESOLVED
that Don Smith and Richard Le~lY be reappointed as police officers of Eagan
Township for one year terms at $2.50 per hour to serve until January 3, 1967.
Upon motion by Chairman Rahn, seconded by Supervisor Schwanz it was
RESOLVED that the Treasurer be, and he hereby is, authorized to reinvest excess
proceeds from bond issues in time certificates at the Valley National Bank.
The following gravel pit permit renewal applications were presented:
Charles Rueger; Alphy LeMay; and Alexander Construction COllpany for its three
gravel pits, the Moller gravel pit, Eagan Realty gravel pit and Swanson
gravel pit. Upon motion by Supervisor Klein and seconded by Chairman Rahn it
was RESOLVED that the foresoing applications be, and they hereby are, approved
and the clerk be directed to issue the applicable permits for a one year period.
Upon motion by Supe.rvisor lUeln, seconded by Chairman Rahn it was
RESOLVED that the on and off sale 3.2 beer license application of William G.
Osterman, 800 East Lawson, St. Paul, Minnesota for the Half-way House be, and
it hereby Is, approved and the clerk be, and she hereby is, directed to
issue the applicable permit.
Upon motion by Supervisor Klein, seconded by Supervisor Schwanz it was
RESOLVED that all bills presented be ordered paid.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P. M.
