MINUTES OF REGULAR HEETING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
EAGAN TOWNSHIP, I}!'.KOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
February 16, 1965
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township,
Dakota County, was held on February 16, 1965 at 8:00 o'clock p. M. at
the Town Hall at which all members were present except Supervisor Schwanz.
Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were
unanimously approved as read. There were no building permit applications.
Representatives of Cedar Grove Construction Company appeared relative
to the approval of the plat for Cedar Grove No.5. Upon motion duly
made by Supervisor Klein and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED
that the final plat of Cedar Grove No. 5 be, and the same hereby is,
finally approved subject to presentation of the hardshell plat for
signature, the approval 0~ ta~ To~n Engineer of the plat, and the
approval of the Town E:1.g4:,:<~: ;)..:~ 1:0 street gi-ades and specifications when
constructed.
The Board then consi~crcJ th~ placing of the question of whether
the Township should purchase a new fire truck for the sum of approximately
$18,000 on the ballot at the next annual election. Also discussed was
the purchase of a road grader and placing a similar question on the ballot
at a cost of approximately $23,000. Upon motion duly made by Chairman
Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Klein, it was RESOLVED that the question
be placed on the ballot lumping the two items together for a total bond
issue of $42,000 provided that the Town Attorney verified the legality
of such a proposition being placed on the ballot in that manner.
Mr. Ray Snow appeared before the Board because of notification to
him from the Town Constable that he would have to remove parked junked
cars situated on his property on Highway #55 East one-half mile from
the Halfway House within 30 days. Mr. Snow requested tr~t he be given
until April 15, 1965 within which to remove the cars. Upon motion duly

made by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Super"'!sor KIGin, it was RESOLVED
that Mr. Snow should remove all junked cars and other evidences of any
dumping or commercial operations on or before April 15, 1965.
All bills as presented were ordered paid. Upon motion duly made
and seconded, the Clerk was directed to order supplies for the new town
hall from P. M. Johnson Company.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned.
