MINUTES OF REGlJU.R MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS E/1GAN TOWNSHIP, ]){~l<OTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA May 18, 1965 i~ regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Ea8Sn Township, Dakota County, was held on May 18, 1965 at the Town Hell at 8:00 o' clock P. ~ at which all members were present. Chairman Rahn presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as read. There were no building permit applications. County Commissioners Wachter and Frelling appeared in regard to the resolution adopted in December, 1964 by the Dakota County Commissioners and the corresponding resolution of the Eagan Board of Supervisors dated January 5, 1965 regarding the takeever by the County of Cliff Road. A discussion was had and the Board of Supervisors took the position that the County had, in fact, taken over Cliff Road by virtue of work it had already done In furtherance of the purposes stated in the corresponding resolutions. The Commissioners indicated they would take the matter up once again with the County Board as a whole. No formal action was taken by the Board of Supervisors. The Town Engineer reported informally on the proposed Sibley Lane i~rovements and assessments therefore. No fo:cmal action was taken. It was noted that the Advisory Planning Committee recommended approval. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Chairman RoM, it was RESOLVED that the application be, and the same hereby is, approved and the Clerk directed to issue same upon payment of the perm~t fees therefore. The water rate proposal of Valley View Waterworks, Inc. was submitted. Chairman Rahn directed the Town Attorney to cdvise the Township insurance agent concerning the acquisition of new equipment. The 3.2 off-sale beer license application of Harold Helminiak. "'Harold Center", 4030 Beau de Rue Drive, was presented. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Klein and seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the application be, and the same hereby is, approved. The Clerk submitted a letter request from Burnsville Investment Co., Inc. regarding the rezoning of certain property in Section 3-27-23 for a filling station. The matter was tabled until the next meeting of the Board, and the Town httorney directed to determine what previous action the Board had taken with respect thereto. The following applications for abatement were presented: 1. Cedar Grove Construction Co.. ... Lots 2, 3, 6. 8, 9. 10, 11, Block 6, Cedar Grove #4. Land 3150 - NHS 1260. 2. Charles Bolstrom - tot S, Slater Acres. Land 600 Bldg. 5760 3. D. W. Atwood. Lot 4, Skovdale Addition. 1000 HS, 860 NHS 4. Siegfrid LeTendre - Lot 9, East 110' Lot 10, Block I, LeTendre Addition. Land 240 (NHS 96) 5. Samuel Tripp - Part of N~ of Section 8-27-23 (Parcel 30eo-C) Machinery was assessed twice. 6. Anna C. Darsow .. N~ of NEt of Section 13-27...23. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Klein and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RESOLVED that the foregoing requests for abatement be, and they hereby are, approved except the application of I~na C. Darsaw which 18 disapproved. Chairman Rahn informally presented a request by Reuben Johnson on Blackhawk Road for the oiling of Blackhawk Road to keep the dust down. ... 3 .. The matter was discussed and the Board informally determined that the cost thereof. as estimated by the Town Engineer. would not justify the improvement and assessment. Mr. Jean Parranto appeared on behalf of Valley National Bank and surrounding properly owners between Beau de Rue Drive and Highway 113 regarding drainage of surface waters. Upon motion duly ~de by Chairman Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Klein, it was RESOLVED that the Town Engineer make a study of the drainage situation in the area and report back to the Board of Supervisors at its next regular meeting as to the feaSibility of additional culverts and drains and the costs thereof.
