held __. ::.cr*ember 29, 1366 at 8:00 o'clock P. t. at the town hall at which
all webers were present.
Chairman Rahn presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous
meting was unanimously waived. Chairman Rahn stated the purpose of the
me^-itg to be the acceptance of bids for the West Trui k Sanitary 6ewer Part A
and the Temporary Sewage Treatment Plant No. 1, and the awarding of contracts
therefor.
At the direction of the Board the town engineer opened the bids and
tabulated same. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Rahn, seconded by Supervisor
Schwarz, it was RESOLVED that the contract for the construction of Temporary
Treatment Plant No.1 be, and the same hereby is, awarded to Northern Contracting
Co. for the sum of $35,048.40.
With respect to the West Trunk Sanitary Sewer Part A it was determined
that the low bid had been submitted by McWilliams Construction Co. of I,org
Lake, Minnesota in the sum of $113,536.75. In view of the fact that the
firm was unknown to the town engineer and the Board, the town engineer was
directed to determine the qualifications of the bidder and report back to the
Board at its next regular meeting on December 6, 1966.
Upon motion made and seconded, it was ordered that all bills as presented
be approved and paid.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
