03/07/1967 - City Council Regular MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEET~tG OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF EAGAN TOWNSHIP, DAK01'A comm:-, MINNESOTA Harch 7, 196'1 A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, Dakota County, Minnesota was held at the town hall at 7:30 o'clock P. Me on March 7, 1967. The minutes of the previous meeting were unantmously a?p~~:~~ as read. All members were present, Chairman Rahn presided. Mr. William O'Neill, Jr., Highway 149 submitted a request for a buildi~~ permit for a residence 46' x 26', esttmated cost $15,000.00 with attached garage. Upon motion by Supervisor Schwanz, seconded by Chairman Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said application be approved subject to approval of the area layout by the town engineer. An application by Independent School District '196 for an addition to the Northview School was upon motion by Chairman Rah~seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, referred to the Advisory Planning Committee for review. The Chairman announced that the town will during the next several weeks be needing a truck for road maintenance purposes of a size smaller than the truck now owned by the township because of load ltmit restrictions. He stated that Mr. Martin DesLauriers has a two-ton Ford truck with hoist and dump, 1963 model, which has been rented by the town each spring for the past several years and such truck is now for sale. It was noted that the town at present does not have funds to purchase a new truck which esti.mated cost would be substantially more than the offer of sale f~"'r $2,500.00 of the above truck, that the town has no truck for this purpos~, the truck has been inspected by town officials and appears to be in good operating condition and that an emergency exists to have available a truck for the spring road breakup. The town clerk read a letter from Parranto Bro3. Realtors requestLi~ water service to the proposed Cedar Industrial Park area on property Uly'! owned by J. A. Adelmann. In addition the letter requested water service for the Minnesota Hospital Service Association property in Section 17. Certain residents of the McKee Addition appeared requesting infor.nation concerning the sanitary sewer servicf3 and water service in the McKee Addition. The Board indicated that a petition could be circulated among the residents anj be presented to the Board requasting such services. The town engineer discussed preliminary plans for proposed trunk and lateral water and sanitary sewer services, and storm sewer services i~ tha proposed Eaganda1e Center Industrial Park property. He noted that the esti~ mated cost for water trunk and lateral services fr~~ the Univ~c area to Eagandale would amaJnt to approximately $l28,300.00, of which an estimated $92,000.00 would be recovered tprough assessment against the Eagandale Park property. M. on April 4, 1967~ Fire Chief Donald Van Engen of the Eagan Volunteer Fire Department presented the proposed slate of officers for the Volunteer Department for the coming year.
