07/06/1967 - City Council Regular MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF EAGAN TOl'1NSHIP, DAKOTl. COUNTY, MINNESOTA July 6, 1967 A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Eagan Township, was held at the town hall on July 6~1967t at 8:00 o'clock p. M. at which all members were present. Meyers, Jr., 1468 South Ridge, for a storage shed 10' x 18' at an estimated cost of $1,200.-00. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it 117as RESOLVED that the application be approved and that a building perm:tt be issued upon condition that said storage shed should not at any time be used for an animal shelter, kennel or otherwise having tod,o with animals. Mr. Pete Schaffer appeared on behalf of his application for a building permit to construct a single family residence in the SW 1/4, Section 34-27-23. It was noted that the property was not platted but that the house would be situated upon a tract of land 135' x 140' included in a parcel of appr.~^imatc17 3.5 acres. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Klein and seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the permit be granted upon the submission of an appropriate site plan provided that no further building permits would be granted for the. land area involved until platted and a survey furnished the town board. The public hearing concerning the application of High-Site, Inc. for approval of preliminary plat on Rahn Road near County Road #30 was presented. Mr. Larry Wenzel appeared on behalf of the application. Upen ffiotion duly ~ad~ by Suparvisor Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz, it was RE30LVED thot - 1 - 89T the preliminary plat be, and the same hereby is, duly approved subject to the approval by the town engineer of the building plans for building #2, and that a building permit for the same only be issued upon the approval of the plans and specifications by the town engineer. The application of Thomas T. Hawkes for a building permit for a carwash to be situated in the Cedarvale Shopping Center behind the Texaco service ~~ation was presented. It was uoted that the Advisory Planning Committee recommended approval. Mr. Jean Parranto appeared on behalf of the appli~ant. Upon motion duly made by Supervisor Schwanz and seconded by Supervisor Raim it was RESOLVED that the application be, and hereby is duly approved subject to approval by the town engineer as to plans, specifications, grade and drainage plans. No appearance was made concerning the debris at Deerwood Drive and County Road #3l and the matter was stricken until further word from the complainants. Mr. James Gabiou, Dakota County Engineer, and County Commissioner Louis Wachtler appeared regarding the Blackhawk Road proposed improvem~~t. p~ informal discussion followed. The further appearance of Mr. Gabiou before the Board was set for 7:00 P. M., MOnday, July 10, 1967, at the Town Hall. Mr. Curtis Meyer, 4168 Topaz Lane, Cedar Grove appeared with regard to his complaint concerning drainage at the intersection of Topaz and Garnet in Cedar Grove. The matter was referred to the town engineer to report to the next meeting of the Board to be held on Monday, July lO, 1967 Upon motion of Supervisor Rahn and seconded by Supervisor Schwanz the application of the Eagan Fire Department for an off sale beer license was duly approved. - 2 - Oll The resignation of Mr. Robert Marien from the Eagan Park Board was submitted and duly accepted. Upon motion duly made by Chairman Klein and seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the town attorney proceed with the organization of special assessment procedures for the projects n~l pending before the township according to th separate resolution hereto attached.
