HINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOABD OF SUPERVISORS
EAGAN TOl'1NSHIP, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
September 26, 1967
A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Eagan Township was held
at the t~~ hall at 8:00 o'clock P. M. on September 26, 1967, at which a~l
members were present.
The Chairman announced the opening of bids for sewer and water extensions

Upon motion made and seconded it was RESOLVED that said bids be submitted to
the town engineer for tabulation.
The Chairman then announced that a study was continuing relative to
the proposed increase in sewer service rates in the Cedar Grove Area. Upon
motion by Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that
pursuant to all applicable statutes, ordinances, resolutions and franchise
ag.~~ements, the Board of Supervisors of Eagan Township, Dakota County, l1inn(.so~!'l

the B.oard of Supervisors has determined under the authority granted to it thct

su~1:i proposed rate increase scheduled to .,take effect on October 1, 1967, is
warranted as being a reasonable rate of retUtn~ it being understood that such
determination shall be made oa or before October 17, 1961.
Upon motion made and seconded it was RESOLV1!) that ;Roger Slater, 4150
Sibley Highway be, and hereby is, hired as a part-time policeman effective
October 1, 1967 at the rate paid other part-time policemen.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Schmidt, 4145 Lexington Avenue appeered concerning
a variance to Ordinance #10 to construct an additional home on their parcel of
property on Lexington Avenue. The Board advised that the Schmidts acquire
letters from the neighboring home owners indicating that they have no objection[l
to the variance.
Mr. Tom Nikolai, 1504 Red Cedar Road and other residents of Timberline
Addition appeared relative to the location of the water meters on their homes
in Timberline Addition. The town engineer l~ll check with the utility super-
intendent concerning the location of the outlets on the houses.

An application for building pennit for Diesel Service on Lot 8, Block 2,
Eagandale Industrial Center Was next considered. It was noted that the
Advisory Planning Committee recommended approval. Upon motion by Chairmsn
Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said application be,
h~\'hereby is, approved subject to the town engineers' approval.
Mr. Ray Murphy of the l1urphy House on Highway /113 appeared requesting
information concerning sewage service to his property.
Mr. Winston Palmatier l1ho lives at the corner of Lone Oak Road and
Highway #13 appeared relative to sewer trunk line assessments on 4 parcels
owned by him and Jo Hynn, Inc. Upon motion by Supervisor Rahn and seconded
by Chairman Klein it was RESOLVED that the assessment on Parcel 3095-P be set
at $100.00. 3742-B be $75.00, and that 3742-A and 3099-B be combined for an
assessment of $lOO.OO, for a total of $275.00 assessment on the 4 parcels.
Upon motion by Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn it was RESOLvmD
that the bid of TUn Wep.~el to clean the town ball be, and hereby is, accepted.
The Board discussed the proposed permanent eaoements and slopage easements
over the Theodore Kaysen, Jr. Property on Blackt..nwk Road. The Attorney and
engi.ueer indicated that they had been unsuccessful in acquiring an - ,-

relative to acquisition of the easements, and that the only alternative
appeared to be condemnation in light of the time factor.
Upon motion all bills submitted were ordered paid.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
