MINU1'ES OF SPECIA~ MEETING OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, EAGAN TOWNSHIP, MINN.
April 23, 1968
A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Eagan Township, Dakota
County, Minnesota was held at the town hall at 7:00 p. m. on April 23, 1968
ae which all members were present.
Chairman Klein convened the meeting and announced the commencement of thp
preliminary hearing concerning the extel'lSion of water trunk services along
Pilot Knob ROad to Carlson Acres near County Road #30 consisting of Improvement
Project #24. l"lr. Arnold Carlson appeared and had no objections to the report.
Mr. James Horne, a resident on Pilot Knob Road appeared requesting info~tion
concerning assessments and was told there would be no aSsessments against
property owners on Pilot Knob Road who are not requesting services. Upon
motion by Supervisor Rsbn, seconded by Supervisor Jacobson it was RESOLVED
that said hearing be closed; .rId FURTHER RESOLVED that Impro"ement Project #24
be ordered and that the town engineer be authoriZed and directed to prepare
plans and specifications therefore.
At 7:30 p. m. the Chai~n announced the commencement of Public Hearing
on the Application of Independent School District #197, West St. Paul to
rezone 13 acres from A, Agricultural to P, Public Facilities in the NE 1/4
of the NE 1/4 of Section 9 lying South and West of the intersection of Lone
Oak Road and Pilot Knob Road. Representatives of the applicant were present.
There were no objections. Upon DlOtlon by Chail:\Un Klein, seconded by
Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said application for rezoning be, and
hereby 1s, approved.
The town engineer presented some financial data from the fiscal
consultant concerning f1nancing of a proposed storm sewer project in the Cedar
Gro"e No. 6 area and T1taberl1ne areas. Upon DlOtion by Chairman Klein, seconded
by Supervisor Rahn it was RESOLVED that a public hearing concerning the

preliminary report be. and hereby ls, ordered for May 14, 1968 at 8:00 p. m.
at the town hall.
Members of the Cedar Grove Athletic Association appeared concerning the
installation of back-stops in the Cedar Grove #5 park. Upon motion by
Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the
township order two back-stops for baseball purposes from Crowley Fence Coropa:~l
in an amount not to exceed $390.00 each consisting of 12' high, 9 gauge.
20' wide backstops with two 10' wings.
Upon motion by Chairman Klein, seconded by Supervisor Jacobson it was
RESOLVED that Jay berthe be authorized to attend school to be trained with
the police dog which has been donated by Mr. Wally Andrews of Valley National
Bank. It was further RESOLVED that Police Officer Berthe be compensated his
regular salary and that his flight be paid for out of township funds.
Upon motion by Chairman Klein, seeonded by Supervisor Jacobson, it was
RESOLVED that the Township enter into a service agreement with Eastman Kodak
Stores, Inc. for the coming year at a cost of $30.00 'for services to the
photocopy machine.
Upon motion by Chairman Klein seconded by Supervisor Jacobson it wee
RESOLVED that a trl:Uer permit be issued to Donald Tousignant at 4232
Blackhawk Road for the coming year.
