December 16, 1969
A regular meeting of Che Board of Supervisors of the Town of
Sagan, Dakota County, Minnesota was held at the Taan Hall on December 16th,
19b9 at ?:30 o'clock 1'.M. at which all members were present.
Chairman Klein presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were
unaa~imously approved as presented.
IrUc, Colin Anderson appeared on behalf of his application far a
building permit and variance under Ordinance No. b to construct a garage
adjacent to his home at 1449 Lone Oak Road. Upon motion duly made by Uselmann,
seconded by Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the variance be granted to the extent
of a five foot set-back for the construction of the garage addition.
Several residents appeared wiCh a request far a skating rintc on the
South side of Cedar Grove No. 4 and requested an appropriation of $1,000 to
construct a warming house. Upon motion duly made by Klein awl seconded by
Rahn, it was RESOLVED to refer the matter to the Park Committee, and the $oard
also directed Supervisor Uselmann and T3tilities Supervisor Bill Branch to
wank with the Committee and residents in txying to establish the skating rink
4n the South side of Cedar Grove No. 4.
Upon motion duly made by Supervisor lJsclmann and seconded by~Klein,
it was RESOLVED that Edward Kuntx be, and he hereby is, appointed as the
official Town Appraiser for the proposed park sites at a fee of $x,000.
The applications $~r renewal of gravel pit permits were presented
from Rauenhorst Corporation,•.8ueger Roadways and Alexander Construction Company
for the yeax 19?0, Upan motion duly made by I.ahn, seconded by Uselmann, it
was RESOLVED that Che permits of said coeapanies be, and they hereby are,
renewed for the calendar yesx 1970 subject to the payment of the permit fees
and the filing of appropriate hvnds required by the gravel pit ordinance.
A letter from Mr. 3. E. Ferrante re~ardind the request by the Town
fvr D.C.&• Corporation to integ'rete its water system with Chat of the township
in Cedarvale area was read. Upon oration duly made by Chairiaan KXein, seconder!
by Rahn, it was RESOLVED Chat the xvwn Attorney be directed to respond to the
letter and request D.C.R. Company to arrange with Cedar Grave Utilities Cvmpan~~
to have the system transferred to the Township.
The Board directed the Tom Attorney to notify the owner and
developer, Ken Appelbaum, that the glat of the Robert Karatz ~lditfoa would
have to be redone is~ order tcs caatply with the density requirements of
Or~2ina~nce No. 6, it appearing from the presently filed plat that the lot.:areas
axe less than the minimum required by the Ordin~-nce.
The matter of the payment bf the Town assessments where the State of
Minnesota condems property within the Town was discussed. The Board directed
the Town Attorney to contact the Attorney General's office for their cooperation
iu the future in assisting in having the assessments paid at the time that the
condemriatian settlements are made with the property owners in the Township.
Upon motion wade and seconded, al,l Mils were approved as presented and
ordered paid.
