TOWN OF EAGAN, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
March 24, 1970
A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Eagan,
Dakota County, Minnesota was held at the Town Hall on March 25, 1970 at
which all members here present,
At 7:00 o'clock P.M. the Chairman announced the convening of the
.,oaring concerning Improvement Project Na. 50, consisting of stomm sewer,
sanitary sewer and water improvements in the area of Yankee Doodle Road,
West of Highway X49. A number of property owners appeared and certain
owners in Wescott Gardens questioned whether their property would receive
stoma sewer assessments. In addition Mr. Goetzke and Mr. Kuhn appeared
inquiring whether they would be assessed for storm sewer trunk assessments
in the W~ of the SW~ of Section 11. It was indicated that it is uncertain
at the present time whether that area will be assessed for storm sewer
improvements and that only the areas benefited by the lateral sanitary
sewer and water services will be assessed. Mr. Ray Dralce of R,auenhorst
Development Corporation appeared recommending approval of the Project.
Upon motion by Rlein, seconded by Rahn, aye Uselmann, it was RESOLVED that
the project be ordered in pursuant to the preliminary re port of the Town
Engineer and that the Town Engineer be directed to prepare plans and
specifications.
The Town Engineer then presented the plans and specifications for
Project No. 39-8, consisting of stree;C grading improvements in the Mustang
Development area North of Yankee Doodle Road consisting of Coachman Road
and Four Oaks Road. Upon motion by Klein, seconded by Rahn, aye Uselmann,
it was RESOLVED that said plans and specifications be approved and that
the Clerk be directed to publish notice for acceptance of bids on the

project for April 23, 19?0 at 3:OC o'clock P.M. at the Town Hall.
rir. Ray Brake of Rauenhorst Corporation presented plans for
foundation of Chicago Tube and Iron Company on Lots 5, 6, and 7, Block 5,
Eagandale Center Industrial Park. It was noted that the Advisory Planning
Committee recommended approval. The building will be 40,000 square feet,
125 ft. x 300 ft, with a $500,000 estimated cos t. Upon motion by Rahn,
seconded bycUselmann. aye Klein, it was RESOLVED Chat said foundation permi*:
be, and it hereby is, approved, subject however to submission of an
application and payment of the appropriate fees.
rt,~ ?uwn Engineer presented the plans and specifications for .Project Iko.
29, Part 4, consisting of sanitary sewer trunk along Trunk Highway #49 to
Yankee Doodle Road. The estimated cost of this portion is $130,000. Upon
motion by Klein, seconded by Uselmann, aye Rahn, it was RESOLVED that said
plans and specifications be accepted and approved and that bids be advertised
and received on May 5, 1970 at 3:00 o'clock P.M. at the Town Hall.
The Town Engineer then presented the plans and specifications for
Improvement Project X50, Part 2, consisting of the 5 million gallon tank
water reservoir. Upon motion by Klefa, seconded by Uselmann, aye Rahn, it
was RESOLVED that said plans and specifications be, and they hereby are,
approved and accepted and that the Clerk for directed to notify bidders
and that the bids be received on May 5, 1970 at 3:00 o'clock P. M. at the
Town Hall.
Supervisor Uselmenn indicated that Mr. Ed Kuntx has now completed a
study of the proposed park sites for appraisal purposes and suggested that
Mr. John Vos of Urban Planning and Design, Inc. be raetained to prepare a
park plan. Upon motion by Uselmann, seconded by Klein, aye Rahn, it was
RESOLVED that Mr. Vos of Urban Planning and Design, Inc. be, and he hereby
is, retained and directed to prepare a park plan both for neighborhood and ~.•~
area parks and FURTHER the preparation of application for federal funds for
the Eagan park plan proposal for a sus nat to exceed $2,000.00.
Mr. Derek appeared oa behalf of General Beverages fora foundation
permit for building for Pepsi Cola Company in Lot 6, Eagandale Center No. 2,
consisting of 240 ft, x 640 ft. at approximately $732,352.60. Upon motion
by Uselmann, seconded by Klein, aye Rahn, it was RE$OL~D that said
foundation permit be and it hereby is, granted subject however to final
approval by the Town Engineer and FURTHER it was understood that General
Beverages will grant to the Town of Eagan a lease at $1.00 per year for a
playground for use by Town residents consisting of 260 ft. x 450 ft. on the
Westerly side of the property in Eagandale No. 2 artd adjacent to McKee Additio:.
which agreement shall be prepared and agreed upon by the Board of SupervisorE.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
