January 22, 1971
A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Town of Eagan,
Dakota County, Minnesota, was held on January 22, 1971 at 7:00 o'clock P,M,
at the Town Hall, at which all members were present.
Chairman Klein presided and the reading of the minutes of the pre-
vious meeting of the Board was unanimously waived. Chairman Klein stated
the primary purpose of the meeting to be the discussion o£ the labor policy
for the Utility Department employees.
The Board examined the portions of the proposed labor contract to
determine those sections that would be appropriate for a policy statement to
the employees. The Board directed the Town Attorney to prepare along the lines
of the discussion an appropriate labor policy statement regarding wages, hours
and benefits and, upon motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED that the
Town Clerk and Treasurer be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to
prepare appropriate payments to these employees with. the wage increases retro-
active to September 1, 1970.
Mr. Jack Dielanthies and Jean Parranto appeared on behalf of Cedar
Grove Construction Company to obtain permission to construct eight model homes
without sewer and water hookup for demonstration purposes on Blackhawk Circle
in Cedar Grove No. 8, Upon motion duly made by Chairman Klein, seconded by
Supervisor Uselmann, it was RESOLVED to grant permission to Cedar Grove Con-
struction Company to construct five models at this time and three models at a
later date for demonstration purposes on Blackhawk Circle in Cedar Grove No. 8
without sewer and water hookups provided that the appropriate building permit
fees be first paid amd that before sale of each and any housing unit the hook-
up required be made,
Mr. Jean Parranto oa behalf of J. E. Parranto, Inc., requested a
sign permit for its business to read "J. E. Parranto, Inc, Realtors" 4' x 14'
to be erected at or near the company offices. Upon motion duly made by Super-
visor Uselmann, seconded by Supervisor Rahn, it was RESOLVED that the sign
permit application of Mr. Jean Parranto for a business sign 4' x 14' be
duly approved and ordered issued upon payment of the appropriate fees therefor,
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
