February 29, 1972
A special meeting of the Board of Supervisors, Town of Eagan, was
held at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall on February 29, 1972, at which all members
were present. Chairman Klein presided and stated the purpose of the meeting
was Co discuss park site acquisition and budgets for 1972.
Upon motion made by Supervisor Uselmann and seconded by Supervisor
P.ahn, it was RESOLVED that Tony Roszak be, and he hereby is, authorized to
make a final offer of $37,500.00 for the John O'Toole property in Highview
Acres. It was noted that this amount was higher than the highest appraisal
received, and it was further noted there is no public street adjacent to
the property and no sewer or water laterals and is an irregularly shaped
parcel.
Upon motion made by Supervisor P.ahn and seconded by Supervisor
Uselmann, it was RESOLVED that the following negotiated purchase prices as
recommended by Tony P.oszalc be, and they hereby are, approved:
Parranto Property in Section 12 - 20 acres - $45,000.00
Sylvia Chapedlaine, Lots 11 & 12, Burrview - 6,000.00
Upon motion made by Supervisor Uselmann and seconded by Supervisor
P.ahn, it was F.ESOLVED that the Town :_ttorney be, and he hereby is, authorized
to exercise the options on the Burns and Doppler properties in Country Home
Heights and to pay the balance of the earnest money due in the amount of
$4.00.00 each.
Upon motion made by Supervisor Uselmann and seconded by Supervisor
P.ahn, it was P.ESOLVED that Tony Roszak be, and he hereby is, authorised to
appraise the McKee Parlc site.
The Cler3t~ias requested to notify John ~Jos~ and Robert Rosene to
see if there is an alternate plan far a road into the Zehnder Acres area and
also to consider a road to the park site in Highviecv Acres and the Treffle
l:cres area.
Upon motion made by Chairman IC1ein and seconded by Supervisor
P.ahn, it was RESOLVED that the re-appointment of T•lilliam Schultz as Eagan
Fire Chief be, and the same hereby is, approved.
The Board met with the department heady and went over their
respective budgets and made necessary revisions. Upon motion made by
Chairman IClein and seconded by supervisor P.ahn, it was RESOLVED that the
revised budgets be, and they hereby are, approved and copies attached hereto,
Upon motion the meeting was adjourned.
