FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Eagan's City Celebration Committee has announced a contest
to find a "logo" to symbolize the 125th birthday of the City of
Eagan. A logo is defined as an identifying symbol and can be
composed of any combination of pictures, lettering and graphics.
Entries will be divided into three age groups and a prize
awarded to the winner of each group. Prizes will be City of
Eagan hats or t- shirts. The age groups are: 11 years of age and
younger, 12 to 18 years old, and 19 and older. Entries may be in
black and white or color and should be submitted on paper no
larger than 11" x 18". Smaller entries are perfectly acceptable.
Submitted logos should symbolize in some fashion Eagan's
125th birthday. Traditionally, the symbol of the City of Eagan
has been "The Lone Oak Tree," and various depictions of the tree
have been used in the past. The tree is presently part of the
City's official logo. Entrants may utilize their version of the
tree if they wish, but it is not a requirement.
