That town number twenty-seven (27), north of range number twenty-three (23) west, in the County ofBoaodut.s,fthe Dakota, be, and the same is hereby erected into a separate Town of Xhosa. town, to be known as the Town of Eagan. Sze. 2. The first election for township officers shall be held at the house of Michael Conner, in said town, on the omKites fTo:; first Tuesday of April next ; and it is hereby made the duty of the said Michael Conner to post up written notices of said election in three of the most public places in said town, at least ten days previous to the time of said election. Sze. 3. The electors, when assembled in accordance with such notice, shall have and possess all the powers. conferred pows21lafrool~l..t. on electors at the annual township election and the said ltua ooaduct.J• election shall be opened and conducted in all respects as the said annual township election ; and the judges of said elec. Dou..ofl.d.w. tion shall issue certificates of election to the persons entitled to the same. SEc. 4. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
