Q Were there a number of other homes that were also, um, that you would have received complaints from the homeowners on having to do with either questions or damage? A Yes, there was. Our main purpose is to make sure that the house is liveable and help the homeowner over a rough spot. Q In this particular situation, would you have been contacted by the homeowner, the Allen's in this case? A Yes, they are the ones that contacted us. A Well from what I understand, it is an older house built roughly a 100 years ago and chances are it was a balloon frame and that house after a few years could have been leaning like it was at that point in time. Q Was it your observation that the house, in fact, does lean or list? A Yes, it does. Q Is that noticeable in a listing? A Probably with a trained eye you could see it. Q So there is no evidence of any shingles, no evidence of either windows or doors binding or being inoperable? A No. Q What was Mr. Allen's representation to you as far as why he believed it was from the wind? A He said that there was move ent ,the foundation. I didn't find any movement in thou'dation, it was a wood structure from the foundation and I didn't see anything. Q Did you see any evidence of any the margins on any siding having shifted? A No, no margins shifting. Usually if that happens, you have a tight spot on the top and a loose spot on the bottom and that wasn't even evident.
