A building permit survey was available at the site end reviewed during the course of the inspection. The lot, which slopes to the west had been excavated to remove approximately 1' of topsoil and small trees and brush. Base soils consisted of a firm SP sandy Isom, below optimum moisture. A depression 2 1/2'. 3' deep excavated to remove tree stumps indicated subgrade solls conslatant with the referenced base soils. Based on conversations with the contractor, the building will be on natural soils with a e course foundation wall at the rear walk-out. this will be backfilled with approximately 8' of granular material. The garage area, located within the NE Corner of the pad, will require 5'- 6' of fill. Our observations Indicate subgrade soils are acceptable for the construction of the proposed structure.
