The building officiai may request. and shall receive, the assistaoce and cooperation of othrr officiais of this jurisdiction so far as is re- quired in the discharge of thz duties required by this code or othet pertinent law or ordinance. SECTION 105 - BOARD OF APPEALS 105.1 General. in order to hear and decide appeals of otders, de- cisions or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretation of this code, there shall be and is hereby created a board of appeals consisting of inembers who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters gertaining to building construction and who are not employees of the juris- diction. The building official shall be an ex officio member of and shatl act as secretary to said board but shatl have no vote on any matter before the board. The board of appeals shall be appointed by the governing body and shall hold office at its pleasure. The board shall adopt rules of procedure for conducting its business, and shall render all decisions and tindings in writing to the appel- lant with a duplicate copy to the building officiai. 145.2 Limitations of Authority. The board of appeals shall have no authority relative to interpretation of the administrative provisions of chis code nor shall the board be empowered to waive requirements of this code. Any expansion to the existing home would not be allowed due to the ordinance pertaining to non-conforming structures. The resident was very concerned because the home was on the market for sale and he claimed the zoning would effect the re-sale value of his home.
