In accordance with your suggestions, on Sunday, June 1, 1986, I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Peterson regarding the vehicles and instrumentalities which he has parked on his property. I specifically requested that Mr. Peterson remove the vehicles, as I felt them to be an eyesore and I felt they would have an adverse impact upon the property value of my home, which I am in the process of placing for sale. Mr. Peterson indicated to me that he was unwilling to remove the vehicles from his property, or even to move them to other portions of his property where they would be far less visible. I am herewith requesting that the City of Eagan contact Mr. Peterson for purposes of having him remove those vehicles and items of machinery from his property. At present, on this particular property, Mr. Peterson has a farm-type tractor, a small bulldozer, one camper trailer, one utility trailer, one blue van, one Chevrolet automobile with an extensively damaged front end, and what appears to be a replacement front end for that Chevrolet automobile. In addition, Mr. Peterson had parked a Chevrolet convertible directly across from my home, but that vehicle was moved to his driveway. Finally, Mr. Peterson also has a number of concrete culvert pipes stacked in the front of his property, which could also be moved to a less obvious location. Your immediate attention-to this complaint would be greatly appreciated. I do believe the actions of Mr. Peterson in Mr. Steve Schwanke June 3, 1986 Page 2 parking and leaving this variety of vehicles and machinery on his property constitutes an attractive nuisance, is clearly an eyesore, and deprives myself and my family from the quiet enjoyment of our property. In accordance with your suggestions, on Sunday, June 1, 1986, I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Peterson regarding the vehicles and instrumentalities which he has parked on his property. I specifically requested that Mr. Peterson remove the vehicles, as I felt them to be an eyesore and I felt they would have an adverse impact upon the property value of my home, which I am in the process of placing for sale. Mr. Peterson indicated to me that he was unwilling to remove the vehicles from his property, or even to move them to other portions of his property where they would be far less visible. I am herewith requesting that the City of Eagan contact Mr. Peterson for purposes of having him remove those vehicles and items of machinery from his property. At present, on this particular property, Mr. Peterson has a farm-type tractor, a small bulldozer, one camper trailer, one utility trailer, one blue van, one Chevrolet automobile with an extensively damaged front end, and what appears to be a replacement front end for that Chevrolet automobile. In addition, Mr. Peterson had parked a Chevrolet convertible directly across from my home, but that vehicle was moved to his driveway. Finally, Mr. Peterson also has a number of concrete culvert pipes stacked in the front of his property, which could also be moved to a less obvious location. Your immediate attention to this complaint would be greatly appreciated. I do believe the actions of Mr. Peterson in Mr. Steve Schwanke June 3, 1986 Page 2 parking and leaving this variety of vehicles and machinery on his property constitutes an attractive nuisance, is clearly an eyesore, and deprives myself and my family from the quiet enjoyment of our property.
