It has been brought to our attention that payment for special assessments pertaining
to the installation of utilities (sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and services)
under Data Processing No. 443 was received fran the St. Paul Title Insurance Corp. in
the amount of $3,320.72 and was inadvertently applied to Lot 6, Block 1, Meadowlands
1st Addition when, in fact, it should have been applied to Lot 60, Block 1, Meadowlands
1st Addition. The City of Eagan processed this payment on October 2, 1980 under City
of Eagan Receipt No. C005538.
Consequently, the 1981 property tax statements were issued indicating special assess-
ments outstanding for Lot 60, Block 1, when in fact they had been paid in full.
Therefore, could you please correct the records to accurately reflect Lot 60, Block 1,
Meadowlands 1st Addition as having paid all assessments associated with Data Processing
No. 443. In addition, a refund should be provided for any payments made as a part of
the first half 1981 property tax statement, if in fact such payment has been received.
Your cooperation in helping to transfer the payment received to the proper lot and
renotification of the affected property owners by way of new tax statements would be

Please be informed that the Special Assessments Division of the City of Eagan has
discovered an error whereby payment for the above-referenced special assessments
in the amount of $3,320.72 for the installation of utilities was inadvertently
credited to lot 6, Block 1, Meadowlands 1st Addition, which is presently under your
ownership. This payment should have been applied to Lot 60, Block 1, Meadowlands
1st Addition.
Subsequently, your 1981 property tax statement did not include your first year in-
stallment of principal plus interest for your special assessments associated with
the installation of sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and services. We have
notified the Dakota County Auditor's office of this error and have requested them
to re-certify the outstanding special assessments against your property in the
amount of $3,156.58 plus interest from the date of adoption, May 6, 1980. It is
my understanding that'a revised property tax statement will be forwarded to your
attention showing the outstanding special assessment obligation for the above-
referenced property in the City of Eagan.
