An irrigation permit j-I required - please contact Protective Inspections at 681-4675.

Commerciai project: $25.50 irrigation permit to cover installation of backflow preventer.

Residential project: $20.50 irrigation permit to cover installation of backflow preventer.

Existing residence: $20.50 irrigation permit to cover installation of backflow preventer -(not
required if backflow preventer previously installed).
Meter charge: If gallons per minute are less than 25, a 1" meter will be required at a cost of
$182.00. If gallons per minute are more than 25, a 2" turbo with strainer will
be required at a cost of $822.00. This information is to be supplied by the
designer of the system.
No meter will be sold before all sewer and water inspections are complete on a new service. fl new
service lines are not req u ir d, one check may be written for meter and permit costs. Receipt will be coded
to 20-3716 (meter portion only) with pink copy forwarded to Utility Billing Clerk.
The installer is to contact Protective Inspections at 681-4675 for inspection of the inside water line and
backflow preventer. The Public Works Department may be reached at 681-4300 for water turn-on and set
and seal of the meter. Inspection hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Requests for
A.M. inspections should be made on the preceding work day. Requests for PM inspections will be accepted
until 12:00 noon.

RE: Roof and overland drainage issues
Dear Dean & Dawn,
It has come to City stafPs attention that there is a drainage concern on the property line between the
properties of 4041 Deenuood Trail and 4037 Deenvood Trail. I have reviewed the original
approved drainage/gading plan for the development and compared it to each property before and
after the home improvements/addirions at your property were completed. It appears that the
drainage pattern for your lot may have been altered slighUy by the added soil on your northerly
property line associated with the improvements.
T'he original drainage plan showed the water from your side lot cmving azound the house to the
northeast comer of the lot and entering the street along the property line. With the change in
drainage, the water nuw cannot flow out to the street but instead is flowing mto your neighbor's
yard and causing concern for erosion and water damage.
With a field visit, I noticed you have installed downspauts on the house which are direcring water to
the side yard area, increasing the amount of water that would normally go there. To minimize the
chances for erosion and attempt to retum to the drainage pattern that was originally intended, I am
suggeshng that you re-direct the downspouts to either the street or to the back yazd drainage swale.
This will eliminate the excess roof drainage and make the amount of water in the side yard area
more manageable.
