Dear Sirs:
I am writing at this time to file a number,of complaints pertaining
to the condition of my home.
I live at 3634 Denmark Ave., Eagan, in the Timbershore Development.
Beginning last year and continuing to this date, numerous problems have
arisen. First, the front door and the door into the garage from the
basement became hard to open or close; then they became impossible to close.
At the time this happened, a large, wide crack appeared in the wall above
the front door, starting from the upper right corner, up about 22" then
right and across about 36" and is still growing. The vertical section
of the crack is 1/4" wide in places. one evening two months ago, the floor
at the entryway dropped 3/8". At this time it became necessary to force
the door jamb and move the locks on the door so it would close and lock.
There is also a crack in the wall between the stairways.
The garage door was the next to go. The floor and apron had heaved far
enough to render the door inoperable. To remedy this, I had to resort
to a hammer and chisel to free the door lock.
Outside, the balcony had twisted 3" from front to rear, that's far enough
to make it feel odd to stand on. The entire house seems to be drooping
to one side.
It is my understanding that I am not alone in my complaints and the
situation is, if possible, worse in a couple other instances. I am for-
warding copies of this letter to H.A.D., Knutson Mortgage and Financial
Corp. and the Eagan Building Inspector.
I believe in this instance, it is your responsibility to remedy these
problem areas in that the integrity of the basic structure is involved.
