At 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, I was requested to make an inspection at the above-mentioned
address by Tracy Quinn, Owner.
The water closet in the master bathroom would not flush and had been overflowing since she
moved in on February 27. She called Lakeside Plumbing and was advised by your plumber that
it would be necessary to install a new water closet. She agreed to the installation, however this did
not solve the prob]em. The plumber then tried to rod out the soi] line, cut a large hole in the
ceiling and wall of the finished family room below, and finally cut the elbow out to clean the soil
line.
In my opinion, this was an unnecessary procedure as the line could have been snaked out. If there
was foreign matter such as a closeY flange test plug or a chunk of wood, then perhaps it would
become necessary to cut through the wall. Therefore, Lakeside Plumbing should repair the ceiling
and wall at no cost to the homeowner.
