The Eagan City Council has considered and reconsidered
renewal of a conditional use permit that was granted to
you for a mobile home permit located on Cliff Road across
from the Dakota County Park land per the referenced parcel
number. To date, you have made a number of commitments
to the City that the trailer would be removed, however,
this has not been satisfied.
The City Council again discussed the matter last evening
and it is their opinion that the City will have to take
the necessary action to remove the trailer per action of
the February 20, 1979 meetinq.
This matter has now been turned over to the City Attorney
per the direction of the City Council for the necessary
action. If you have any questions regarding this matter

Ch March 15, 1977 the F2gan City Crnuicil approved a trailer
perntit for occupancy by Mr. Jones on his property at 985 Cliff Roa:d
for aie year sub,ject to dedicatiai of a 75' lzighwaY easemmt for Cliff
Road right of way. The easenent was acquired and the permit issued.
On April 4, 1978, Mr• Jcnes requested an extension of time
inasmich as he had not started building his hane because of problenns
with financing. The City Council granted his request for an extension
until Novenber 1, 1978 with the understanding that no flarther extension
would be granted.
In early Novenber I wrote a letter to I#1r. Jones advising him
that his trailer permit had expired and requested that he renove
the trailer fran his property. He called several times inforniing
me that he was ma]dng arrangements to mwe and would soon have the
trailer out. Because of calls received ty neighbors, I sent another
letter to Mr. Jones on Decenber lst giving him 7 days to rerove the
trailer or he would be given a citation for violation of Oniinance
No 2.
Mr. Jmes called me and told me that he had moved frcm the
prenises and he had been renting the trailer fran Ialwta Hanes: and
they vrould be ranoving it. I then called Dakota HaTL-s and told
then they should renove the trailer and they indicated they could
not get it off within the 7 days but would do so the following
week. When the trailer was not removed as pr+anised, I again called
Mr. Isaacson and he informed me that it was impossible to renove the
trailer becasue of the way it was positioned and the snow and ice
on the hill. It would have to be moved down the hill as they couldn't
turn it aroumd and go down the driveway. He felt it would be too
dangerous imder the circinnstances to try and renove it. I told
him the permit had expired and I could not grant an extensicn but
I would inform the City Mariager. It was at this point that Z referred
the mtter wer to you.

object to a reasonable extension of time. Smith moved and Wachter seconded a motion,
to grant up to Navember 1, 1978, extenaion for the mobile home permit with the
understanding there would be no renewal and further, that the easement be gran[ed
to the City on Cliff Road prior to grant of the building permit. All members voted
yes.
