As the sketch shows, we took horizontal and vertical field measurements from the bottom of the proposed footing to the top and center of the existing manhole adjacent to this lot. BRW, as part of this development, located the 27" RCP at about 26 feet below the existing ground. Based on plan and actual measurement, a portion of the concrete block wall will function as retaining wall in the event an excavation is needed to get to this sanitary pipe, and therefore we recommend that the wall be reinforced with #5 vertical bars at 32 inches on center, and horizontal Dur-O-Wail reinforcement at every six (6) course.
