This letter is a follow-up to several unsuccessful attempts to
reach you by telephone. The Community Development Department
received a complaint pertaining to a fence recently constructed on
your property.
An inspection of the fence by City staff revealed a violation of
the City of Eagan Fence ordinance which allows a maximum fence
height of six feet. Portions of the fence along your eastern
property line were found to exceed six feet.
This Code violation can be corrected in one of two ways: 1) submit
an application for a Variance from the maximum fence height or; 2)
lower the fence, where necessary, so the entire structure does not
exceed six feet as measured from grade.
Please reply within seven days of receipt of this letter,
indicating a schedule of compliance.
