MEMO TO: DALE PETERSON, CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL
FROM: THOMAS A. COLBERT, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
Tk-
DATE: JANUARY 16, 1984
SUBJECT: ABANDONED PRIVATE WELLS/I-35E CONSTRUCTION
In July of 1983, MnDOT awarded a contract which provides for the
removal of several residences due to the progression of I-35E
through the City. As a part of that contract, the contractor is
required to abandon all private wells and cap them in accordance
with the.Minnesota Department of Health regulations and forward a
copy of the log to the City of Eagan for our information and file
purposes. The following is a list of properties where the houses
will be removed and the wells subsequently abandoned:
4370 Blackhawk Road
4310 Blackhawk Road
1620 Deerwood Drive
1585 Deerwood Drive
1521 Deerwood Drive
1485 Englert Road (north
-?r431 Vibiet-Lanes
1421 Violet Lane
1305 Yankee Doodle Road
780 Blue Gentian Road
745 Blue Gentian Road
515 Blue Gentian Road
and south side)
If you become aware of any house being removed other than those
listed above, please bring them to my attention so that we can in-
sure that the wells are properly abandoned and capped.
Your anticipated cooperation in helping to monitor this through
your department will be greatly appreciated and will help to pro-
tect the integrity of our groundwater supply system.
