Several of you contacted City staff expressing concerns over the storm sewer lateral assessments due to the fact that the proposed assessable portion of your property drains into an existing system rather than into the new assessable system installed under Project 466. The City staff subsequently researched your concerns and confirmed your contentions. As a result, the City Council accepted the staff's recommendations and deleted the lateral storm sewer assessment from the final adopted assessment roll for Project 466 as it pertains to the lateral storm sewer assessment only. If you had a proposed assessment for other types of improvements, they were adopted and will remain. A revised assessment notice is enclosed for your information. We apologize for any unnecessary concerns created by this issue and appreciate the manner in which it was brought to our attention so that we could respond in a timely manner.
